• You need to setup ADB Drivers in your PC. Click Here / Mirror to download the ADB Installer. Just download and run it in your Windows based PC/Laptop as Administrator  and follow the onscreen instructions.
• Now download Minimal FastBoot tool from here and then extract the contents to a folder. This is for quick fastboot setup.
• Download and Install USB Drivers for your Nexus 7 from here.
• Enable USB Debugging in your device. Click Here if you don’t know how to enable USB Debugging.
• Create a backup of all your important data and contacts.

How To Install Android 5.0 In Nexus 7:

• First of all follow all the instructions given above step by step.
• Download the Stock ROM Image and extract it.
• Now open the extract Stock ROM folder and you’ll find a .zip file extract it too.
• Now copy all this files in Fastboot folder which you have setup.
• Turn off your device and boot it into Fastboot mode by holding the ‘Power + Volume Down’ button for 2-3 seconds when you switch the device On.
• Connect your device to PC with USB cable (Make sure USB Drivers are installed properly and USB Debugging is enabled).
• Now open the fastboot folder where all Image files are copied. Now hold shift and Right click on an empty space within that folder. From the right click menu, click on ‘Open Command Window Here’.
• Now enter the following commands one by one in the command prompt window (replace thebold ‘filename’ with the name of the file that you extracted):

fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-filename.img

fastboot reboot-bootloader

fastboot flash radio radio-filename.img

fastboot reboot-bootloader

fastboot flash system system.img

fastboot reboot-bootloader

fastboot flash userdata userdata.img

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

fastboot flash boot boot.img

fastboot erase cache

fastboot flash cache cache.img
